Paula Newcomer has been a freelance writer and teacher for more than 30 years, teaching children’s and adult writing workshops at libraries, schools, bookstores and elsewhere. She has published poetry in Barrow Street, Journal of New Jersey Poets, the new renaissance, and others. Her creative nonfiction piece appeared in the literary journal, Kansas City Voices. She has published fiction in The North American Review, Playgirl, Coast, and the Arkansas Review. Her essays and articles have appeared in The New York Times, Yankee magazine, the Mother Earth News, the New Jersey Monthly and Herstry and the Snowy Egret. Paula’s poetry book, TOSSING OFF THE GLOVES is available at her website. Her children’s picture book biography, THE BLUEBERRY GIRL, is available at the Whitesbog General Store, and the Allaire Village General Store, and various bookstores along the Jersey Shore.
